Make a Bird Feeder

12:00pm - 15:00pm

FREE

It’s wintertime, and the livin’ ain’t easy for our feathered friends. Birds are hungry, and (as they say every year) it’s expected to be the coldest winter on record. Studies have shown that birds with access to bird feeders in winter survive at a higher rate than birds without. Feeding birds in winter, if done right, is a great way to lend a helping hand to your local fauna.

Join Urban Growth on Saturday the 19th for a bird feeder workshop using pinecones, seeds and vegetable fat. The pros will be on hand to guide you and explain what to look out for. There will also be volunteer gardening on the day, should you wish to take part.

Vagabonds Foods will be open from 10am for you to enjoy a drink and a meal if you wish.

This workshop is suitable for children and adults.

The workshop will be drop in, but you can click here to register your interest. Please email [email protected] for more information.
